Vivodyne, one of University of Pennsylvania’s Bioengineering startups, has quickly outgrown their space at Pennovation. Their success has prompted them to expand into a new research lab and split in the Curtis Center. The new space includes private offices, collaborative open office space and conference rooms, tissue culture labs, and assembly labs with a CNC machine. As the owner’s representative, PurePM is focused on controlling the scope and budget of the project for the growing startup. Utilizing a Target Value Design approach, PurePM has led the project team through a value engineering process to ensure the project falls within the owner’s budget. PurePM is managing all aspects of the expansion, from preparing budgets and schedules, managing scope and design, overseeing construction, managing owner FF&E selection, and move-in and occupancy activities. PurePM will also work closely with the management team at The Curtis Center to ensure existing operations for the building are not disturbed as the construction work is ongoing.
