PurePM is providing full-service project management and owner representation for Inspira Health Network on a $209M bed tower expansion at their Mullica Hill, NJ Campus. PurePM’s engagement at Mullica Hill was born out of a successful working relationship with Inspira leadership more than 15 years ago. Today, growth and market share opportunities have led Inspira towards a significant expansion on campus. At the outset of the project, PurePM facilitated a programmatic study to evaluate the clinical benefits of adjacencies within the mother-baby tower. Ultimately, it was decided that the clinical change to the deliver care model (LDRP vs. the dedicated LDR/PPM room) necessitated a new stacking in the tower. An overbuild of the tower will improve efficiencies for operations and provide millions in cost savings.
The PurePM team worked with operational leadership to calculate the cost-benefit analysis of adding revenue-generating and important clinical programs to the project, including graduate medical education, interventional radiology, and a new MRI, rather than upgrading the standard engineering facility. By onboarding a CM early in the process, in conjunction with early trade partners and early buy-out packages, PurePM was able to alleviate pressures on long-lead items that were critical to occupancy. Success at Mullica Hill Expansion has spurred an ongoing relationship between PurePM and Inspira to support future capital expansions and strategic initiatives.
