PurePM is managing the expansion and modernization project for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, nearly doubling the size of the campus. The $900 million project is set to transform the hospital into a state-of-the-art facility.
The centerpiece of this project is an 11-story bed tower, which will transition the hospital to a 100% private-room facility. This expansion will significantly increase emergency room and operating room capacity by about 50%, will nearly double the Intensive Care Unit capacity, and will expand the cardiac care program. The new tower, slated to open by 2028, will add nearly 600,000 SF to the existing 700,000 SF complex. The expansion will be situated in the southeast corner of the hospital, behind the recently expanded Cancer Center and existing bed tower. A new east entrance and lobby will be connected by a bridge link to the Medical Office Building and garage.
PurePM’s project management services are central to the successful and timely completion of the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center expansion. By overseeing every phase of the project, PurePM ensures that the new facilities will deliver enhanced patient care and state-of-the-art medical services.
