Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital IR Suite, Orlando Health

This project involves renovating and reconfiguring an Interventional Radiology (IR) room and adjacent spaces at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. The scope includes replacing existing medical equipment, such as the Siemens ARTIS Icono biplane X-ray system, and renovating the special procedures room, x-ray control room, radiology areas, staff break room, and adjacent offices. The project will take place within the active hospital environment and is scheduled for completion over 15 months, from concept to go live. AHCA regulations and approval processes are integral to the planning and execution of this project, ensuring compliance with Florida’s healthcare facility standards.

The renovation includes constructing a new wall in the x-ray control room to maintain operations during major demolition, creating a new staff passageway and break room, and buildouts for new offices and the special procedures room with lead-lined walls. Procurement, installation, and rigorous testing of all medical equipment, including the Siemens ARTIS Icono biplane X-ray system, to meet operational requirements. The project also included a new hand sink and casework, a lead-lined window, above-ceiling framing for boom mounts, and updated finishes and casework in the control room.
